MEET SENATOR TERENCE EVERITT

Terence is a father, husband,

small business owner, and

longtime resident of Wake Forest.

He previously served three terms

representing House District 35

and now represents Senate

District 18, which includes

northern Wake County and

Granville County.

Terence attended The Catholic

University of America, Columbus

School of Law in Washington,

D.C., where he met his wife,

Jennifer. After law school, they

chose to move to North Carolina, where Jennifer grew up, to build their life and raise their family. They live in Wake Forest with their two children.

Before serving in the Senate, Terence ran his own law practice in Wake Forest, representing small businesses and helping entrepreneurs start and grow companies. He understands the pressures families and local business owners face because he has lived them. He believes government should be practical, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves.

Terence has represented a politically diverse district and believes progress comes from steady work, honest disagreement, and respect for the rule of law — not noise or partisanship for its own sake.

He currently serves as Executive Director of the North Carolina Voter Protection Alliance, where he works to ensure elections are administered fairly, transparently, and according to the law. He believes self-government only works when our institutions are fair, transparent, and accountable to the people.

Terence has long been active in the Wake Forest community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, graduated from Leadership Wake Forest, and served on the Wake County Transit Advisory Committee, helping develop the county’s long-term transit plan.

Terence remains committed to responsible growth, sound budgeting, and protecting the principles that have made North Carolina strong.
