What We Stand For

ENVIRONMENT, CLEAN WATER, AND RESPONSIBLE GROWTH

Terence believes North Carolina can grow its economy while protecting the natural resources that sustain our communities. Clean air and safe drinking water are not partisan issues — they are basic responsibilities of government.

As northern Wake and Granville counties continue to grow, Terence believes infrastructure must keep pace. That includes investing in water and wastewater capacity so communities are not forced to choose between responsible development and public health. Growth should be planned,  sustainable, and supported by the infrastructure it requires.

Terence believes polluters should be held accountable and that cleanup costs should not be shifted onto families and local communities. He has sponsored legislation to address PFAS and other toxic contaminants in drinking water, with special protections for pregnant mothers and children.

He also believes clean energy is both an environmental and economic opportunity. Renewable energy development has created jobs across North Carolina and strengthened our energy future.

Terence supports reinstating the Renewable Energy Tax Credit and strengthening North Carolina’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard to encourage innovation, reliability, and long-term growth.
